oin us on Sunday 6th July 2025 for another epic adventure of the “White Rose Classic” in the cycle mecca that is Yorkshire. (Gods own County)

All routes take you in to the stunning Yorkshire Dales where you’ll be riding on some of the roads and tackling some of the climbs made famous by the pro peloton during the 2014 edition of the Tour de France with Stage 1 from Leeds to Harrogate.

This led to the creation of the Tour de Yorkshire which ran until 2019, in 2018 Stage 2 of the Tour de Yorkshire featured a decisive uphill finish on the famous Cow & Calf in Ilkley, the hometown of the White Rose Classic. In 2019 the UCI World Championships were held in Harrogate where the Women’s elite race tackled the Norwood Edge climb out of Otley.

The event has been run by Ilkley Cycle Club since 2012 when the club reformed. Our aim is to make the event attractive to all levels of sportive rider and an enjoyable day out in the dales for all supported by a friendly volunteers.

We offer 3 routes that cater for various levels of experience, ranging from 46 miles to 120 miles that will take you in to the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Choose the route that matches your experience and goals, each one of them features the opportunity to enjoy magnificent Yorkshire Dales scenery.

Whichever route you choose you will experience our Yorkshire-style hospitality from the start line, at the feed stops and at the finish line. Each of our three feed stations features homemade sandwiches and other culinary treats. We do everything we can to make sure you have the energy you will need to keep you going all the way to the finish line back in Ilkley.
