The Vermont Rare Gravel Ride and living with rare disease both take grit.

One big difference: rare disease has no finish line.

I started this endeavor 10 years ago as a passionate cyclist with a cause: building community and advocating for families living with rare disease. Walking the rare disease journey, I am dedicated to educating myself and others about childhood rare disease.

I am not a charity but work directly with Vermont Rare, Rasopathies Network, and CFC International among others to educate people on rare disease and find ways to improve the lives of families living with rare disease.

If you too are passionate about something, whether it’s enjoying strong community and friends, doing things with a purpose, or riding epic Vermont gravel, The Vermont Rare Gravel Ride is a perfect fit!

Jack Bailey, event organizer, father, husband, friend.

Ride Highlights

At mile 4.6, pavé sector 1 comes right at you and continues to Nichols Road in Landgrove.  Some short grunty climbs follow until the second pavé sector.

At mile 14, SAG stop #1 gives you a chance to take in some scenery from the west Londonderry/Andover area.

There’s a slight bit of pavement on route 100 North through Historic Weston, just in time to get your breath back for the 2.7 mile rolling climb of Jenny Coolidge Road.

Enjoy the fast descent down Moses Pond Road as pavé sector 3, Holt Mountain Road, approaches!

Landgrove Road to Little Michigan takes you back to the finish line at Wild Wings Touring Center for your frosty cold beverage and after-party!
