Distances: 47, 68, 102 miles
Difficulty: Difficult terrain with longer, steeper hills
Limited to: 1000 Participants

Route options:

Poppy Short Route - 47 miles : Perfect for the first time sportive rider. Follow the beautiful East Lothian Golf Coast Road and then head into the hills via Gifford to test your legs. It's generally downhill from there back to the coast at Longriddry and then flat along to the finish.

Poppy Middle Route - 68 miles : A tough ride awaits you after the flat ride out along the East Lothian Golf Coast Road to North Berwick. Things kick upwards after that with a long climb up into the Lammermuirs and over the infamous 'Rigg'. Then it's pretty much downhill all the way back to the finish with a couple of 'testers' on the way.

Poppy Long Route - 102 miles : A truly epic day awaits after the flat ride out to North Berwick. It's then up and over the Lammermuirs and down onto the delightfully quiet roads of the Scottish Borders. Loop round by Chirnside before refuelling at Duns for the long haul back over the hills into East Lothian.

All routes include the King and Queen of the Heugh timed climb. You will need to have done some training before cycling any of the routes - please follow a training plan and make sure you are as well prepared as possible and are familiar with your chosen route.
