The 14th edition of the cyclosportive La Bernard-Hinault will take place on Saturday , June 15th , with departures and arrivals at the Parc des Expos Brézillet in Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor). Organized by the former cyclist, his wife Martine, and a strong team of volunteers, this event has a reason to be: solidarity.

Since 2006, thanks to the money collected with the registrations, more than 250 000 € have thus been able to be given to associations. This year, € 18,000 will be donated: € 10,000 to the House of families of the hospital center of Saint-Brieuc, € 5,000 for the association Trait d'Union bowl of air (Tuba), which supports children with autism and their relatives, and € 3,000 for Handi'Chiens, Saint-Brandan.

More than 1,500 cyclists are expected, Saturday, June 15, on the roads of Côtes-d'Armor, for the big sports and solidarity festival. This year, € 18,000 will be donated to three associations.

"For this edition, we decided to hand over the checks on D-Day, on arrival. This helps to raise the awareness of the participants, and show them what we are investing in, " the organizers said.

Five circuits

Once again this year, the participants will be able to start on five circuits throughout the department: two cyclosportives of 120 km and 200 km, three sporting hikes without classification of 35, 80 and 120 km. Two hiking trails of 8 and 12 km, in collaboration with the association Le Griffon hiker, are also offered.

Former cyclists will also be in the pack, alongside Bernard Hinault of course: Thierry Marie, winner of eight stages of the Tour de France and regular of the event, and Vincent Barteau, who had won a stage of the Tour in particular.
