The mythical Route 40 and the imposing Lanín volcano will be the scene next February 24 of the first edition of the Great Bottom of the Lanín Volcano , a mountain bike race (MTB), route and adapted cycling with a route of about 100 kilometers long . The start will be made at 10 am from the San Martin square in Junín de los Andes.

From the organization they informed that at the moment there are 280 registered and that they expect that they start at about 350 first level runners . Among them they confirmed their participation, Maximiliano Navarrete, member of the Argentina team and Valeria Gasa, together with his son Ezequiel, who will complete a section of the adapted cycling test circuit.

The competition will have distances of 100 kilometers for MTB, Road and Adapted, 40 km for promotional, 20 km for people over 100 kg, and posts in ladies, gentlemen and mixed with distances of 50 km each member.

The circuit will be carried out on National Route 40, Provincial Route 61 and the Mamuil Malal International Pass .

The participants of the individual MTB and Route categories will travel 50 km from the departure to the Mamuil Malal Pass and then back to the starting point which will add the 100 km scheduled.
