Welcome to the King’s Cup Gravel Festival and the inaugural British Gravel Championships.

Join thousands of riders in the King’s Forest, Suffolk to take part in the ultimate gravel festival. From Gravel Fondo, Gravel Race, Time Trials and Team Relay to family rides, night rides, free finisher beers, camping, party and more, this weekend is the ultimate celebration of all things gravel. 

Men's and Women's Gravel Race (British Gravel Championship event)

Are you ready to compete for the British Gravel Championship title? The Gravel Race is like no other in the UK, with a beautiful gravel route, podium places to fill and the chance to become the very first British champion.

The Gravel Race is the ultimate challenge at the King’s Cup Gravel Festival, with British Gravel Champions jerseys on the line.

You’ll race in your Master's age group, with each age group having just 150 places available, an individual start gate and time and officiating team.

The surfaces include hard-packed gravel, loose chipping gravel, grass, dirt and sand. The routes are 100% off-road and take in a beautiful route around King’s Forest. The tracks allow for bunch racing and overtaking, which makes the whole race exciting from start to finish.

The race distances for under 60 age groups is 78km over 3 laps and 60+ age groups will compete over 52km with 2 laps. The British Gravel Championships podium places will be awarded to the first three eligible riders over the finish line.

Gravel Fondo

The first-ever Gravel Fondo in the UK gives everyone, including those who have little or no gravel riding experience, the chance to give it a go and experience the beauty of gravel riding.

The Gravel Fondo features a beautiful gravel route and gives you the chance to start with club members, friends and family with the choice of a Long Course or Short Course route. There will be prizes for the fastest lap for both Men and Women in the age groups U30, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.

The surfaces include hard-packed gravel, loose chipping gravel, grass, dirt and sand. The routes are 100% off-road and take in the beautiful and scenic Kings Forest. The tracks allow for bunch riding and overtaking, which makes the whole ride exciting from start to finish.

If you fancy taking your gravel riding to the next level and want to race against those in your Master's age group, take a look at Women’s Gravel Race or Men’s Gravel Race.

The Long Course consists of 3 laps, totalling 78km and the Short Course is 52km with 2 laps. Each lap ends with a Pit Stop, with both food and mechanical support available.

Time Trial (British Gravel Championship event)

The King’s Cup Gravel Time Trial is the most unique in the UK and will be one of the most exciting events you’ll be part of. Compete for your chance at the title of British Gravel champion. You’ll race in your Master's age group, with just 500 places available in total. The start of the TT has a fully produced start area with a ramp, sound and lighting, professional commentary and a countdown clock. Riders are set off every 30 seconds from the start ramp.

The surfaces include hard-packed gravel, loose chipping gravel, grass, dirt and sand. The routes are 100% off-road and take in a beautiful route around Kings Forest. The tracks allow for overtaking, which makes the whole race exciting from start to finish.

The British Gravel Championships podium places will be awarded to the fastest three ride times, with the winner not only taking the British Gravel Champion title but receiving the winner's jersey.

Team Relay 

The Team Relay is a team event like no other, where teams of 4 riders take on the beautiful route, compete for podium places. You’ll race in classifications Men, Women, Mixed (at least one rider of either gender) U19 Men and U19 Women. There’s a total of just 50 team entries available

The start of the Team Relay has a fully produced start area, transition zone for the ‘baton’ exchange, sound and lighting as well as professional commentary.

The surfaces include hard-packed gravel, loose chipping gravel, grass, dirt and sand. The routes are 100% off-road and take in a beautiful route around Kings Forest. The tracks allow for overtaking, which makes the whole race exciting from start to finish.
