Event 3 of 6 in the Southeast Gravel Series
Early May is the best time to  ride in the Carolinas. The temps will be cool to start and won't be too hot yet. Long gravel roads with no traffic, a half hour long climb, and riding along the Chattooga River greet you in our most demanding and scenic course.

Bring Your Climbing Legs
Winding Stairs Rd come in the early stages of this course. Climb from the scenic Lake Cherokee on a steep winding gravel road that can take the better part of a half hour to climb.

Lots of Camping Nearby
Oconee State Park and South Cove County Park both offer plenty of camping spots and are very close to the start. What better way to make a full weekend in the most beautiful part of South Carolina than to enjoy the whole weekend outside.

See the Town Come Out
With an amazing downtown start/finish venue in conjunction with an art festival, the entire town of Walhalla comes out for this event. On finishing, riders come down main street (which has been closed to traffic) for an amazing final mile stretch to the finish.

Free Food, Free Beer!
Go as hard as you want, and know that a hot meal and a cold refreshing beer will be awaiting you at the finish line. Stick around and cheer on fellow riders who are finishing.
