Land Trust of Virginia is proud to host our 7th annual Bike the Gravel from our exciting new location: The Virginia Tech Middleburg Agricultural Research and Extension Center (MARE) on Sullivan's Road in Middleburg, VA.

A one-of-a-kind ride on scenic gravel roads through gorgeous private properties of Loudoun and Fauquier Counties that are all in conservation easement and only viewable on this day!

We are very excited to be hosting Bike the Gravel from the VA Tech MARE Center's 420-acre campus on Sullivan Rd in Middleburg, Virginia.   We will have three new courses  - still our one-of-a-kind gravel rides traversing private farms and estates in Conservation Easement.

Bike the Gravel is an amazing, beautiful, fun, and challenging ride on gravel roads and through private farms and estate properties, which are in Conservation Easement, about an hour from the heart of our Nation's Capital. Whether you ride our short, middle, or long course, we are confident you will be delighted.

We cycle these routes on road bikes, gravel bikes, and mountain bikes, but we highly recommend 38cc tires minimum for your riding enjoyment and safety.   This is not a race.  It is a ride for you to enjoy the best views, and best gravel roads in the area!

Our gravel roads, with amazingly close proximity to the D.C. area, are known to gravel riders everywhere as some of the best gravel riding around.  We strive to protect these Loudoun County and Fauquier County gravel roads and the properties around them.  We hope you will, too.

Return often for updates, including sponsors, places to stay, course maps, course files, merchandise offerings, and so much more!!
