The spirit, enthusiasm, and passion these riders, who came from all over, brought to the event were amazing to witness. The cheers still echo, the wheels still spin in our minds as we look back on the wild ride that was the Belgian Waffle Ride (BWR) Mexico in Queretaro. The hardcore support and all-out enthusiasm turned this event into a full-throttle celebration of gravel cycling, brotherhood, and pure, unadulterated passion. The plan is to amplify this pedaling positivity come November 23-24, 2024!

Set in the heart of central Mexico, the state of Querétaro, renowned for its rich history, stunning architecture, and breathtaking natural landscapes, will once again host the second edition of the Belgian Waffle Ride in Mexico. Querétaro City, the vibrant state capital, is the perfect destination for Waffleurs, offering a mix of urban and rural terrains, budget-friendly accommodations, and convenient direct flights from various national and international airports.

Belgian Waffle Ride invites you to the most iconic Gravel Unroad event, now in Mexico, with an opportunity to cycle through the incredible routes of the state of Querétaro on a Gravel or Mountain bike. BWR Mexico will be the final date of the Belgian Waffle Ride Gravel Series 2024 and will feature the largest prize pool of the BWR 2024 series.

E-Bike Category: Ride the WAFER and WANNA distances with a bit of help from your electric bike. Follow the normal registration process and choose the E-BIKE option in your category.The Belgian Waffle Ride E-Bike category includes electric bikes that meet the power requirements set by the race regulations. E-Bikes can provide electric assistance to pedaling to help cyclists overcome difficult terrain, steep, and prolonged climbs, or allow cyclists of different skill levels to compete together in the same race.It is important to note that although E-Bikes can provide electric assistance, cyclists in this category must still pedal and comply with the same race rules and regulations as cyclists in traditional categories. The E-Bike category offers an option for those who may need additional help to complete the race, while also giving them the opportunity to compete with other cyclists and enjoy the thrill and adventure of a Gravel cycling race. *Cash prizes will be awarded in USD or in Mexican pesos at the USD/MXN exchange rate on the Thursday before the event.

WAFER DISTANCE +100KM: In-kind prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in each category.

WANNA DISTANCE +50KM: In-kind prizes will be awarded to the first male and first female finishers in each category.

E-BIKE WANNA +50KM AND WAFER +100KM DISTANCES: In-kind prizes will be awarded to the first male and first female overall finishers in each distance.
