The 2025 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships are heading to Victoria’s Great Ocean Road. Starting and finishing in Lorne it’s a challenging yet rewarding course on completely closed roads along Australia’s most breathtaking coastline.
The course kicks things off with an uphill straight out of Lorne. There’s another climb just after the halfway mark, followed by a well-earned descent onto the namesake coastal road where you’re rewarded with stunning views for the last 40km.
To punch your ticket to Gran Fondo Worlds, you must finish in the top 25% of your age group in a UCI Gran Fondo World Series event.
Amy’s Gran Fondo will take on the same course as the 2025 Worlds, giving you the opportunity to explore the beautiful Great Ocean Road, Otway Ranges and all the region has to offer while preparing yourself for next year’s world titles.
At Worlds, the champions in each age group are awarded with the coveted rainbow jersey.
Next year’s Worlds will feature the road race and individual time trial based in Lorne, and a team criterium on Geelong’s waterfront. The event will take place from October 17–19, 2025.
