Sir Bradley Wiggins rode the Gran Fondo Pinarello with Miguel Indurain and Fausto Pinarello

Obviously on the new jewel of Pinarello: the DOGMA F8

This is the big one, the Gran Fondo Pinarello, aka "La Pina"!

Last weekend 4,000 cyclists rode the Gran Fondo in the north east Italy. Sponsored by Pinarello this Gran Fondo features a mass start and offered two routes. The shorter Medio Fondo took riders into the lower hills just north of Treviso through the unique Prosecco vineyard landscape. This route is 132km long and featured three Category 3 hills. It is a good challenge for the average rider.

The longer Gran Fondo took riders up and over the Treviso Alps and returned riders via the shoulder of the Monte Grappa massif. This route was 170km long and the mountain crossings are Category 1 climbs.

This route is a serious challenge for the experienced, well trained cyclists, like "Wiggo" and "Big Mig" are used too!

Sir Bradley Wiggins took part on his new Pinarello Dogma F8.
