The penultimate stage sees the OVO Energy Tour of Britain return to Nottinghamshire to build upon the success of the 2017 stage in the county. This year’s longest stage of the race heads departs from West Bridgford, just a short distance away from the iconic Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.
With 223 kilometres separating there and the finish in Mansfield, which hosted a stage start in 2017, this is third longest leg of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain since its return 14 years ago.
Despite the distance and the cumulative fatigue from a week of racing, expect to see a bunch sprint in Mansfield. The fast finishers in the bunch will pass through the finish before undertaking a short circuit around the town, giving them an invaluable insight into the closing kilometres.
