Stage 1

The opening stage covers 195.8 km and starts from the Slaski Stadium, built in 1956 and recently renovated. Katowice will instead host the finish line in addition to being an old coal city maintaining visible traces of its industrial past. There are three LOTTO Sprint Intermediate Primes – Piekary Slaskie, Ogrodzieniec – with the beautiful castle, and Siemianowice Slaskie. The peloton will perform three 16 km rounds in Katowice and fight for the positions at the finish line at Katowice’s Spodek Arena.
