Stage 3

The third stage will be a very important one for the entire world and certainly for the Polish. The 203.5 km will make up a perfect climbers’ day that starts from Wadowice, Pope John Paul II’s birthplace. Karol Woytila has been not only the first and only Polish Pope, but also a crucial figure between the twentieth century and the new Millennium. There are seven Mountain Primes on the route – Wielka Puszcza (x3), Kocierz (x2) and Przegibek (x2) and two LOTTO Sprint Intermediate Primes – Wilkowice and Lodygowice. The stage finish is located in Bielsko-Biala, a well-known tourist resort surrounded by beautiful mountains. The Silesian Voivodeship is the partner of this finish.
